7 Main Chakras

Chakras' are the very essence of who you are. Chakra means wheel in Sanskrit and refers to cone-shaped vortices of energy, which spin and vibrate within the energy body. They are energy centres; vibrating wheels of cosmic light that bring physical form into being. Our seven main Chakras are seated in the human etheric body. They are connected to fine energy channels running along the spine. Without them the physical body could not exist. These energy centres collect subtle energy, transform it, and supply it to the body.

Chakra's provide a pathway that can transport us from the personal realms of consciousness to the spiritual and universal realms. The Crown Chakra reaches divinity in heaven and the Root Chakra keeps us connected to our mother earth.

Each Chakra affects different endocrine glands, nervous plexuses and body parts. When the balance of energy flowing through the Chakras is disturbed, it causes dis-ease on the corresponding bodily function. If we maintain a balanced flow of energy we avoid dis-ease.

Muladhara 1st chakra

Muladhara - Base Chakra

Located at the base of the spine, this chakra forms our foundation. It represents the element earth, and is therefore related to our survival instincts, stillness and to our sense of grounding and connection to our bodies and the physical world. Ideally this chakra brings us health, prosperity, security, and dynamic presence.
And if it works well, you have a constant necessity to move, constant necessity in certain physical activities; when chakra is opening – it means a person completely controls his/her body; he feels it well and he has great muscular sensation. The working chakra is ability to create your own style. In Ushu it is known well, creating your own style is the sign of a working chakra.

Swadhisthana, 2nd chakra

Svadhistana - Sacral Chakra

Located in the abdomen, just beneath the navel, lower back, and sexual organs, is related to the element water, and to emotions and sexuality. It connects us to others through feeling, desire, sensation, and movement. Ideally this chakra brings us fluidity and grace, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment, and the ability to accept change. Blockage manifests as emotional problems or sexual guilt.

If chakra starts working, interest appears and a person attracts corresponding literature towards himself, starts being interested in the opposite gender. This chakra usually manifests in youth and starts working, which is built in by evolution as well, and in this period a person shows most interest towards the planes of being and if chakra is opening, a person becomes the source of the energy. He is attractive, charming and seductive. A person possesses the corresponding energy. Besides him/her it is possible to receive the corresponding feelings just by looking at him/her, being near.

Manipura 3rd chakra

Manipura - Solar Plexus Chakra

Located in the solar plexus. This chakra is known as the power chakra. Fire, Ego identity, oriented to self-definition. It rules our personal power will, and autonomy, as well as our metabolism. When healthy, this chakra brings us energy, effectiveness, spontaneity, and non-dominating power. Seat of Emotions. Blockage manifests as anger or a sense of victimization.

It is important to remember that these are all manifestations and there is no need to fear it if such feelings appear. You must try to be aware of them in yourself. Next stage of opening – these are entrepreneurs and business people. As a rule, they are not attached to material values. But they are creating on this plane, freely treat material values, they are not attached to that, i.e. their field of activities is like creativity.

Anahata 4th chakra

Anahata - Heart Chakra

This chakra is called the heart chakra and is the middle chakra in a system of seven. Air, Social identity, oriented to self-acceptance. It is related to love and is the integrator of opposites in the psyche: mind and body, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity. A healthy fourth chakra allows us to love deeply, feel compassion, have a deep sense of peace and centeredness. Blockage can manifest as immune system or heart problems, or a lack of compassion.

If it is open, the person is more gentle, elastic, soft and compassionate. If the chakra is opening, great bliss is coming and it can be only experienced yourself. One person, who has been in Stalin's camps, told us that there was a short, slim man. Life conditions were very heavy: they lived in huts, they had to work hard, had little food. And when people came, they were tired all the time, started arguments, fights, scandals, but that man came ad started praying; quietly prayed by himself, and gradually people around started to calm down; those who had some grief, offences, anger, they slowly stopped, and calm, even state approached. Bliss came from that man, which simply calmed down people around and took away all worries, troubles and offences. Simply calm state and that is all.

Vishuddha 5th chakra Vishudha - Throat Chakra

This is the chakra located in the throat and is thus related to communication and creativity. Sound, Creative identity, oriented to self-expression. Here we experience the world symbolically through vibration, such as the vibration of sound representing language. Tied to creativity and communication. Feels pressure when you are not communicating your emotions properly.

Draw or sing, simply sing, it did not matter how, where, why; it did not matter how would you be judged, you simply wanted to express yourself in this plane. And it is the sign of that chakra starts working, actively working. Closed Vishudha is for those people who are not interested in esthetics at all; they plunge into the material world, they do not see the beauty. If you say to them "See, what a tree". They usually speak about something that you can eat from this tree, something that you can possess. Such an approach is with utilitarian people.

If Vishudha starts working, a person starts being interested in painting, art literature; the person is attracted to music. People of Vishudha plane reach well on music, because hearing is prerogative of Vishudha; they feel and understand it finely.

Ajna 6th chakra Ajna - Brow Chakra

Third Eye Pineal Gland This chakra is known as the brow chakra or third eye cent related to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. As such it opens our psychic faculties` and our understanding of archetypal levels. When healthy it allows us to see clearly, in effect, letting us “see the big picture.” Clairvoyance, psychic abilities, imagination, and dreams.

Its state is a concentrated will. A person of this plane, if his/her chakra is closed, is completely deaf towards expressions of theoretical type, he is not interested in information, i.e. he may perceive the world with feelings, like, for example, a person of Vishudha or Anahata, but he is not interested in mind conceptions, certain logical formation, very often such people are short-minded or rough, plunged into their lives with their feelings. If this chakra starts working, a person is very interested in different theories, conceptions, philosophical developments; he is searching books, he is searching information. And when this chakra opens, this person becomes the creator of theories himself, he delivers the knowledge of the higher power, he creates and writes papers, he is able to explain the construction of the world.

Sahasrara 7th chakra Sahasrara Chakra

This is the crown chakra that relates to consciousness as pure awareness. Thought, Universal identity, oriented to self-knowledge, spiritual connection. It is our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all- knowing. When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss. Connects you with message from higher realms. Can be experienced as a pressure on the top of the head, understanding, knowing, bliss, God.

When the chakra starts working, such a person starts having a glimpse of intuition, revelation of the consciousness, discoveries. He finds the essence of being in a regular, popular, well-read truth, and people with open Sahasrara – are great yoga people possessing higher knowledge about the laws of this world.
